Description i really like Amphibia, kind of like something like the earlier seasons of Adventure Time & O.K K.O.!, the show has tons of fantastical story elements. and other elements where it's episodic and funny

However. Like any good series, the series can slip up in one way or the other. and Amphibia has managed to release a slip up, two actually. The episode 'Girl Time' is one that i might do an atrocity notebook on someday, because of how Anne uncharacteristically judges Polly. When she had no problems with her up until that episode, and that was an episode that i was thinking about putting on My Worst Episodes of Good Cartoons Volume 2 list. However, when going through scorecards for Amphibia and the list of episodes. i watched this episode again out of curiosity, and man it really was that bad. and it immediately was placed at #3 on my Worst Episodes of Good Cartoons Volume 2 list, it didn't boggle my mind like I Was a Preschool Dropout from My Life as a Teenage Robot did. and i didn't find it draining to sit through like The Great Escape from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters was, no. This episode downright shocked and irked me, like. i don't remember the episode being this bad, heck. i actually forgot about this episode for awhile, until i rewatched this episode for candidates for My Top 10 Worst Episodes of Good Cartoons Volume 2 list. When i first watched this episode back in March of last year when i had a broken leg, i wasn't thinking of the quality of the episodes of the shows that i watched. The only exceptions being Side by Side from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters & Jolly Lodgers from Spongebob, which means that yes. i didn't think about the quality of 'This Bird has Flown' from The Cassagrandes at the time when i watched it either

But watching this episode again and thinking about it. The worse that episode was, it's funny that i mentioned 'This Bird has Flown' from The Cassagrandes in the previous sentence. This episode. Much like This Bird has Flown, is so bad because of Unfortunate Implications and a character getting off way too easily. I might actually do a journal on that episode aswell, but i really do need a break from talking about that episode. Since i already talked about it 2 times, and no, Cracking Mrs. Croaker isn't as bad as that episode. Because there's no implications of a character pretending to be dead, and there isn't any implied gross out. But this episode is still bad nonetheless

But let's start off with the story in this one. Sprig thinks that Mrs. Croaker doesn't like him, because she didn't listen to him at the beginning of the episode. So he goes to desperate lengths to get her to like him, yes. That is the motivation for sprig to do all these things at the beginning of the episode

and the episode for some reason wants us to side with sprig, why exactly? Sprig does nothing in this episode to deserve any sympathy. Because that is the unfortunate truth, not everyone is going to like you. If it's for no reason, i can understand. But as shown in this episode, Mrs. Croaker does have a reason to not like sprig. Unlike that Recess episode that Mr. Enter did an animated atrocity on years ago

However. This episode seems to go to some of the lowest lows in order for Mrs. Croaker to change her mind about sprig, that he goes out of his way to break into her house. and if Anne and Polly didn't check on sprig to see what Sprig was doing, he was going to rob Mrs. Croaker. Which is two illegal things to do

and the worst part of this episode. Is that he gets no comeuppance for what he did in this episode, he first assume the worst out of someone because they ignored him once, he illegally sneaked into her house, he was going to rob her as soon as he gets into house, and she got all up in Mrs. Croaker's business. and he still gets off scott free in the episode, honestly. What should've happened is that either he gets scolded by Mrs. Croaker and gets kicked out of her house by her, got thrown in a jail cell for a few days for pulling this stuff, or he should've got dragged home by Hop Pop and getting grounded by him. Because what he did in this episode is seriously bad

and why does the episode not see that what Sprig did, as bad? Anne, someone who came from the human world and is stated to be 13 years old in the show itself. Is someone you'd think would know that what Sprig is doing is illegal, right? No. She only sees what Sprig did as crazy, when. As i said, its actually illegal. and then at the end of the episode, when Mrs. Croaker said that she likes sprig. Instead of sprig being grateful that she understands the lengths that he went through, and being thankful that she didn't call the cops. He decides to rub it in her face............. What an awful way to end off an awful episode
