Description
my thoughts on each episode in a short format
A Place for Pets - kind of boring, also. i have a question, how exactly are pets a fire hazard?. 4/10 (Subpar)
Lockdown fo Love - literally a retread of Single Cell Anniversary and Walking the Plankton, only this time its a date. and both Plankton and Karen's iq's are severely low here. 3/10 (Bad)
Under the Small Top - This Episode is Ok, there were a few jokes that did admittedly get chuckles out of me. like the joke where the mail man literally goes back to fashion school when squidward told him to XD and i like how creative the episode can get with the fleas, however. i didn't like squidward's treatment throughout the episode, there's a really weird joke that seems more fetishy than funny, and the ending is extremely predictable. since this type of ending also happened in episodes like House Worming and Patrick's Tantrum. 5/10 (Meh)
Squidward's Sick Daze - This episode is better than Lockdown for Love, but that's not much of a complement. since i did not like this episode, basically. it's just Squiditis, except with squidward immediately faking being sicking before going in for work. and the pacing not being as slow, but everything else. is literally Squiditis, also. what Mr. Krabs does in this episode is severly sinister, he basically lets spongebob do as much implied harm to squidward as possible. just because Squidward didn't want to go through as much stress with costumers orders as possible, which does happen near the end of the episode. also, how did Kwarantined Krab get banned. but this episode didn't?, this episode has the same concept as Contagi-Anne from Amphibia. which has also been pulled from airing, which was also about Anne faking being sick. and even though covid vaccines have been invented and i got my first vaccine a few weeks ago, covid is still around to this day. and we are still in a pandemic, so Squidward faking being sick. aswell as the episode - could be considered offensive and triggering towards those that are actually sick. 4/10 (Subpar)
Goofy Scoopers - starts off on kind of the rough side, but gets better from there. 6/10 (Solid)
Pat the Dog - Half Funny Jokes, other half: Squidward torture. 5/10 (Meh)
Something Narwhal This Way Comes - While Narleen Narwhal is much better here than she was in Kamp Koral. this episode is kind of mid, this was actually the closest episode so far that had me give it a good episode.......... but the ending shot it down. 5/10 (Meh)
C.H.U.M.S - while the episode is no joke, a note for note retread of Plankton's Army. the creativity of the episode stepped it up to a solid. 6/10 (Solid)
SpongeBob's Road to Christmas - Remember the Eek the Cat episode 'It's a Wonderful Nine Lives' and the amount of christmas joy that the episode offered? that's this episode right here, while i will say that this episode isn't as good as Christmas Who or It's a Spongebob Christmas. i think it's better than Goons on the Moon. 7/10 (Good)
Potato Puff - The most predictable and rehashed episode of the Season so far, but. Its still better than Squidward's Sick Daze and Lockdown for Love. 4/10 (Subpar)
There Will Be Grease - Creative......... Despite the fact that the ending rehashes Patty Hype. 7/10 (Good)
The Big Bad Bubble Bass - The Card and Yours, Mine, and Mine done right. 8/10 (Great)
Sea-Man Sponge Haters Club - the ending where Squidward is telling a cheesy story and is so unphased about what happens, is absurd. and is the highlight of the episode. 8/10 (Great)
Food PBFFT! Truck - the definition of a wasted potential of an episode, which had the materials for a creative episode that would've been on par with There Will Be Grease, Rock Bottom even makes a return.......... But its all thrown out the window for a Spongebob and Squidward torture porn. 4/10 (Subpar)
Upturn Girls - another wasted potential of an episode, what could've been a worthy successor to Girl's Night Out. Turned into an episode where Pearl enables Narlene's behavior, I'll admit that Lady Upturn saying that shopping isn't supposed to be fun is something that I'll agree does make someone an antagonist. But that doesn't excuse Narlene's behavior in this episode, and Pearl enabling Narlene by saying that she's at least not stuck up like Lady Upturn......... Makes things so much worse. 4/10 (Subpar)
Say Awww! - congrats episode, you get to join the ranks of episodes that are perfect to watch during Halloween. 8/10 (Great)
Patrick the Mailman - No Pictures Please done right. 8/10 (Great)
Captain Pipsqueak - The best Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy themed episode in a very long time, considering the fact that I thought that both of the Mermaid Pants and Barnacle Star episodes ranged from Ok to downright bad. and I did not like Dirty Bubble Returns, this was the best Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy themed episode that we had in a while. 9/10 {Excellent}
Plane to Sea - The Worst Squidward Torture Episode of the entire modern era (Seasons 9b-13). Yeah, much worse than Pineapple RV, Squid's on a Bus, and Jolly Lodgers. This episode honestly gave me some flashbacks to some of my least favorite episodes of Unikitty, like Beach Daze and First Flight........... That's how bad i think this episode is. 2/10 (Awful)
Squidferatu - honestly. what Spongebob in Randomland should've been like, where only one element is taken from Pizza Delivery. and not the whole setup to make it an almost exact knockoff of Pizza Delivery, my only issue that holds this one back is that the lightning strike joke where it goes off when characters mention Nosferatu's name. Is run into the ground real quick. 7/10 (Good)
Slappy Daze - Not much to really say about this one, there's nothing to really say that I dislike. But at the same time. There's not much i could say about it where i could say that is very interesting to talk about it, so its in the middle. 5/10 (Meh)
Welcome to Binary Bottom - Nice Concept, but weak execution. as most of this episode just involve the characters running around. 5/10 (Meh)
You're Going to Pay... Phone - This episode is BORING! to describe this episode in a few words, this is literally just Mr. Krabs getting repeatedly hypnotized by a phone demon for 11 straight minutes. and Mr. Krabs getting upset when he gets snapped out of being hypnotized, its like the ending of Krusty Love. if that episode was all that happens throughout. 4/10 (Subpar)
A Skin Wrinkle in Time - A very underwhelming end to what i could describe as a ratings trap special, Spongebob has been doing a lot better with specials now than they did back then. but this was the first special in a long time that was basically nothing but a ratings trap. 4/10 (Subpar)
Abandon Twits - Most of this episode is just Spongebob and Squidward putting together a boat with Squidward getting hurt constantly, and when we get to the part of the episode where it gets interesting. It's almost over......... Pretty disappointing. 4/10 (Subpar)
Wallhalla - Had a pretty good idea......... Too bad this episode is a carbon copy of what we've seen in Lost and Found, from 3 Seasons ago. Also, this episode gets surprisingly gross at times. Despite the fact that the premise of this episode didn't even indicate that it was going to get gross. 5/10 (Meh)
Salty Sponge - I enjoyed this episode and them giving fanservice. as we haven't seen the Salty Spitoon since Season 3, nuff said. 7/10 (Good)
Karen for Spot - Another enjoyable episode, even though, none of what happened in this episode might've happened if Plankton didn't leave the sticky notes in a place where Spot could chew it up. 7/10 (Good)
Arbor Day Disarray - The Most Creative, Enjoyable, and Interesting Episode in the Season so far. 8/10 (Great)
Ain't That the Tooth - Despite the fact that Patrick and Spongebob already know who the Tooth Fairy is, as shown in The Whole Tooth. The episode is very funny, and unlike Tooth Trouble from Unikitty. Spongebob and Patrick, despite assisting this Burglar. Also do good things for the other citizens of Bikini Bottom, and the ending is absolutely hilarious and satisfying at the same time. 8/10 (Great)
Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah - it is nice to see Spongebob's Parents again. As I don't think we seen them since Season 8, and this episode is enjoyable...... even though there are some issues with characterization in this episode. As I don't remember Spongebob's Parents being this wild and crazy during the times we've seen them appear, and Spongebob isn't usually this embarrassed acting like himself around them. 6/10 (Solid)
Yellow Pavement - this episode is literally just a carbon copy of Boat Smarts, down to the fact that Squidward is tormented for being a good driver. However. Unlike Boat Smarts, this episode is twice the length. Making it even worse......... The only thing I liked was the ending, but that's about it. 3/10 (Bad)
The Flower Pot - The 6th Copy of Imitation Krabs in the series. Being yet another instance of Plankton dressing up as someone to get the formula, but this episode basically copies Married to Money where Squidward falls in love with the one that Plankton is dressed up as to get the formula. and the ending is even more confusing than the ending in A Place for Pets, where plankton gives up on stealing the formula........ Only to go back on it at the last second? What........ 4/10 (Subpar)
Spongebob on Parade - Another Enjoyable Episode. 7/10 (Good)
Delivery to Monster Island - Despite the fact that Spongebob and Plankton being on Monster Island for 6 years is illogical, this episode is still enjoyable. 7/10 (Good)
Ride Patrick Ride - A Relatable Episode to me as someone who has and still has trouble riding a bike. 7/10 (Good)
Hot Crossed Nuts - Krusty Dogs, if it was actually entertaining. 8/10 (Great)
Sir Urchin and Snail Fail - A Much better and more proper introduction to this Duo than what we got in Library Cards. 7/10 (Good)
Friendiversary - While I do like the throwback that they made to older episodes. Being a better throwback than Truth or Square could ever be, I don't like the annoying Squidward angle that takes up most of the episode. As well as Mr. Krabs forcing Squidward to have Spongebob get his memories back, because all Squidward wants is peace and quiet. Its not like Dying for Pie where it was urgent, Mr. Krabs flattout wants Spongebob to remember the combination to his safe for his own personal gain. 4/10 (Subpar)
Mandatory Music - hey, Show. We've known that Squidward is bad with Clarinet for awhile now, this is not new. and if this episode wanted to commit to the idea of Squidward needing to take a Court Ordered Music class, that'd be one thing. But the episode barely does anything with it, heck. As Average as i found License to Milkshake to be, that episode at least committed to the idea of Spongebob needing to get a milkshake license. This episode barely does anything with Squidward learning to play music, but instead. The episode makes Squidward the butt of the joke in front of the class as being the only one who can't play an instrument, while the episode also implies that the other students are rubbing it in that their better at playing music than Squidward. 4/10 (Subpar)
Dopey Dick - I noticed that Anytime that Spongebob delves into parody or something where it's characters are put in a historical or exciting setting, it ends up being one of the best episodes of the series. or a given Season. 8/10 (Great)
Plankton and the Beanstalk - Same thing I said about the previous episode. Applies to this one. 8/10 (Great)
My Friend Patty - A Better Version of To Love A Patty. and while vore does freak me out, This episode manages to have a character wanting to be eaten. and doesn't go too far with it, given that this Krabby Patty is food. It has the personality of wanting to be food, unlike what happened in One Course Meal. 7/10 (Good)
Fun-Believable - Barely has any semblance of a coherent narrative, and runs the joke of Old Lady Prune being the oldest citizen in bikini bottom in the ground. But there are still much worse episodes in the season than this. 4/10 (Subpar)
Spatula of the Heavens - All That Glitters done right. 7/10 (Good)
Gary's Playhouse - The Cutest Episode of Season 13 😍. 8/10 (Great)
Swimming Fools - Squidward's wants are very relatable in this episode. 8/10 (Great)
The Goob Father - Even though The Krusty Krab sold milkshakes before with no issue, this is still a very interesting parody of The Godfather. 7/10 (Good)
Squidbird - This episode is basically a combination of everything I disliked about The Clam Whisperer and Bunny Hunt, however. The Clam Whisperer at least had one good joke, and aspects of Bunny Hunt worked in a Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry kind of way. There is almost nothing to like about this episode, it tortures Squidward all throughout. With the only things preventing it from being as bad as Plane to Sea, is that they didn't pull the insulting twist ending that it did. But there is almost nothing salvageable in this episode, except for that one clever reference to The Birds, other than that, its neck and neck with Plane to Sea as one of the worst episodes of Season 13. 3/10 (Bad)
Allergy Attack - Well, It's not a copy of Suds at least. and the episode is completely harmless, even though I don't know if I'd watch it again. 5/10 (Meh)
Big Top Flop - Another interesting and enjoyable episode. 7/10 (Good)
Sandy, Help Us! - false advertisement, with a pretty sour way to end Season 13. 4/10 (Subpar)
28 Good
8 Meh
18 Bad
Good Season (but just Barely. Because I'll go ahead and be completely honest, this season didn't really start stepping its game up. Until the 2nd half came around, the first half was not too good, and in fact. There were so little episodes that I liked in the first half of the season, that I called Season 13 a Meh Season for awhile. and even before the first half, the Season got off to so much of a Bad start. That I didn't even want to give my rating away just yet
The 2nd half of the Season was so much better, and many of the episodes. Which I actually considered funny, came from it
but many of the Season's more hit or miss episodes, were also in the 2nd half. and some of the Season's Worst Episodes, also came from it
To say that I'm concerned for the show's future. Is a bit of an understatement, because this Season was a huge downgrade from Season 12. Which was already a huge downgrade from Season 11
Most of this Seasons Bad Episodes. Were not THAT Bad, nowhere near as bad as Season 12's Worst Episodes, with only the Top 4 getting up to that level
But still. There was a surprisingly large amount of episodes I didn't like this Season. more than what i found with Seasons 11 and 12
and most of the episodes I ended up liking, were more interesting rather than funny)

My Bottom 5
#5: Squidward's Sick Daze (A retread of Squiditis, Mr. Krabs is sadistic. Knowingly sending Spongebob into Squidward’s house to potentially hurt him, and i’m baffled this episode didn’t get banned. But Kwarantined Krab did. Because of how insensitive and distasteful it is, given that we were still in the lockdowns when this episode came out)
#4: Yellow Pavement (as much as i’ve given Potato Puff and The Flower Pot Flaq for being copies of previous episodes, they at least took elements from past episodes. This is just Boat Smarts, with all the problems in tact, with the same problems. Only, this episode is full length. Not a short)
#3: Lockdown for Love (i already made a status on this episode, so i won’t go on any further than i already did)
#2: Squidbird (while not a rehash like Yellow Pavement, i hate this episode more because of how much it tortures Squidward. And how there’s almost no positives to be found. Being very close to #1)
#1: Plane to Sea (Easily in my Top 3 Worst Post-Sequel episodes, as it both feels like it came out of a Seasons 6-8 episode, with how much they torture Squidward, just like #2. And it also has one of the worst twist endings in the entire franchise)
—----------------------------------
My Top 5
#5: Dopey Dick (Spongebob doing these kinds of episodes is always a treat to see)
#4: Ain't That the Tooth (The funniest and most satisfying episode of the Season)
#3: Say Awww! (The most suspenseful episode of the Season, that is definitely a recommendation to watch during Halloween)
#2: Hot Crossed Nuts (What Krusty Dogs should have been, where with that episode. It was boring, had no emotion or energy behind it, and the jokes were lazy and had the bare minimum put into them. This episode is interesting, there’s actually heart and soul put into what this episode is trying to do, and the jokes are more clever and actually have more thought put into them)
#1: Captain Pipsqueak (One of the best Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy episodes in a long time, there wasn’t an episode relating to these two that i remembered liking in regards to them or their villains. Since Mermaid Man Begins, which was in Season 8. Every other episode after that, i either found Average. Or i downright disliked, but this was an excellent comeback for the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy themed episodes)
