Description
"The polar bear, Ursus maritimus, or the sea bear, evolved about 200,000 years ago from brown bear ancestors. They are superbly adapted for survival in the Far North.As of May 2008, the U.S listed the polar bear as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. In Canada, polar bears are listed as a Species of Special Concern. Russia also considers the polar bear a species of concern."

Thank you. He was my first attempt at using water color pencils as... watercolors! I was having conniptions because the watercolors weren't doing a thing when I used the paint brush. Then in a fit of panic I used my fingers as a brush. Much to my surprise, things seemed to work!

Thank you. I looked at the photo and thought "I'll never be able to make it look like that. What other colors do I see?" And it just kind of happened.
I'm still not happy with the lower blue ground. I'm thinking it's a bit too bright blue perhaps... not sure though.

Now all I have to do is take the plunge to learn Photoshop and fix it. Or I could fix it with watercolors. Decisions, decisions.
And the interesting part is that when I upload things, they never look like the original thing. So I never really know what to expect.
