I need to put 100 words? I think it is impossible to describe how beautiful and sad it is... But.. maybe.. It is not that sad, he is happy with them and it looks that they love him so much for giving something to eat to them.. And you pictured it really well, this man posed to you? If it is not than i still think like he did..Well captured shot, very artistic... By the way, this men reminds me of Enstein , i Don't really know why (heh..) And it seems that one pigeon is staring to him like ''I have seen you before, but i can't remember where'' : ))
I would give it 5/5 or 10/10.

Images with persons surrounded by pigeons have most of the time a strong impact of the viewer. Pigeons are loved or hated in the same time, and sometimes those who feed them or allow them to do whatever they want aren`t usually seen with good eyes and they`re told to be weird.
You can see the sadness through his eyes, but not because of the pigeons, but of solitude. He likes them and they feel safe.
Your image has such an impact upon the viewer because of the drama that you sent through your lens: a b/w picture of an old men with those pigeons staring and him, and the man looking at you.
The light is amazing and what I love most, besides the pigeons perfectly shaped and the portrait of the man is the fact that the character is on the left side of the photo, not in the middle, offering the viewer full detail over the shadows.
If you manage to find your words, you could say a thousand words about this image, but you look at it, and it sends you in the world of the old man, and it lets you speechless, it sends too many emotions to be gathered in some words, that sometimes are forgotten.
