Description There is a story behind this drawing...

This happened last month. On the last day of "normal" schooling right before the big exams, every lesson was a party. People brought food, teachers say their final goodbyes and everyone had fun with games and even more food

Throughout the entire day, I ate an entire pizza, plus an additional 1/4 of a pizza, plus 4 cups of soft drink, 2 big pieces of cheesecake and various other snacks like chips and even salsa. It was a dream come true. Being able to eat as much delicous food as i desired x3 I was the most satisfied and the happiest person ever x3 I even "felt" fat in a good way

There was just one problem... My Math C exam was tomorrow! The hardest, highest level of maths in the school, holding an exam on the very next day! And i was alreay exhausted with all the food It was a looong night. I really wanted to slither into my bed and hibernate

Good news though, my teacher already contacted me to say that Part 1 of the exam was flawless. Perfect. I have yet to recieve the final results but so far it's looking good ^^

Funny thing is that i drew this when i was meant to be studying I guess drawing clears my mind so I can focus better when studying ^^

Life lesson learned: Only take a bit of food, and pull an all-nighter without the parties. Good thing I'm still not in college, and I learnt this.

Parties are actually forbidden in my school system (IDK why... ) but before AP exams, a lot of teachers get kids a whole bunch of food -usually bagels or other stuff from the many bakery places around the town and small business district that surrounds my school.  My mom always made me eat a breakfast twice as big as I usually eat (I usually don't eat that much -I get full fast in the morning and usually stay full for a few hours), and then I got there and the teachers have gotten us bagels, muffins, or donuts, and fruit, and coffee ...and everyone felt obliged to eat it.  I just took one thing while some kids kept grabbing several -and I had just been put on a new medication that slows my metabolism way down -I gained fifteen pounds in two weeks -ouch!

Parties are also forbidden, except on the very last day of the subject before the block exams. I did have a party 2 days earlier than the story i wrote here because the next lesson of that subject is actually during the exams, hence that lesson early in the week was technically the last. There was so much chips, soft drink, chocolate and even secret santa gifts! Guess what my secret santa gave me? Two plastic snakes!

(After converting to metric... Almost 7kg!) wow! After eating all this food I only put on a Kilogram (roughly 2 pounds). But even if you only eat a little, gosh it's worth it x3 Food to me is such a fantasic experience that i savour every time x3 I bet you must have really enjoyed the food

Snakes!  My anatomy class actually did that before Christmas when we were over in one of the rooms at the medical lab, so we could do it being we weren't in the school building where administration could catch us and have a fit.  There was a lot there -I didn't gain any weight that time though.

I think it's more the medication than food, because it's known to cause you to retain water weight more and slow the metabolism down. (mine was already slow to begin with)  Some of the food before the exams was good, though one of the bagels I actually had to throw half of it away... It was a cinnamon crunch one, and it had all these cinnamon sugar clusters in it -and it was good, but it started to get overwhelming because of how big it was, and then the sugar started to get to my stomach (if I have anything with a lot of sugar in it in the morning, or if I have an apple (especially the red delicious, which have a lot of sugar in them), it causes me to have this cutting, agonizing pain that lasts 20 minutes and all you wanna do is curl up and not move) and I decided I'd better stop before I made myself sick.  But I spent the whole summer exercising like crazy and being really careful about not eating high calorie food, and I still only lost half of what I gained.  I'm hovering around 144 lbs now, and before all that and starting medication, I used to be about 136.

Oh my that sounds bad Sugar does that to you? Well... At least it stops overindulgence which is sometimes difficult for me to control I'm such a snake ^^

I'm around 168 lbs Luckily for me i don't really gain weight, but due to my inactivity i don't really lose any either I wanna lose some but i'm too lazy or busy All the food for Christmas is definately not going to help, but gosh it's tasty

Only if I have a lot of it in the morning. If I eat something bread heavy, then I can get along better with it, but if I were to have yogurt and then have an apple, or if I were to have a waffle with the traditional syrup rather than jam or penut butter, I'd be writhing in agony. And the red delicious breed of apple will get me any time of day. I just don't eat that type anymore.

Also, another weird food thing with me -I cannot have a banana when I have coffee -the two together cause an aftertaste that's like vomit, and I can't get rid of it for three hours afterwards, even after I brush my teeth.

I'm not exercising a lot right now due to school, but I was on a crazy routine this summer, and really didn't lose much. Now, around Christmas, I actually tend to lose weight, because I get so busy helping around the house and crafting since I make gifts rather than buy them -so I kind of forget to eat until dinner...

I feel so sorry for you It's amazing how easy it is to take things for granted I never really think that some of the food I eat, can't be eaten by some people. I always feel sad when i hear someone is unable to eat something I enjoy I want you to enjoy it too x(

hmm... I'm tempted to eat very little, or nothing until dinner so i can lose a little of my excess weight It's easy as long as i'm constantly busy with something which distracts me from hunger (similar to your situation), and i'm drinking lots of water

Northwestern-Viola13 In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-12-15 13:21:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, most of the food I can't eat in the morning, but I can later in the day.  The biggest exception and offender are red delicious apples, but compared to the other types my parents keep in the house, they really don't have that much flavor, so I don't feel like I miss out on much without them.

Whatever you do, don't back away too much and starve yourself -that's not good, and not eating when you're hungry actually can slow down your metabolism and make the problem worse.  I just try to go by the rule of not snacking unless I actually need it (not easy when I'm stressed out, but I really try) and at dinner, I only get seconds if I'm still hungry, not because it's good (back in middle school I used to stuff myself to the threshold of pain some nights depending on what we had, and I had to make myself stop doing it... I think I lost ten pounds from that, and that summer before high school I also grew in height.  Of course, I'm back up at the weight I was in middle school now, but I've gotten taller, and I'm on meds that do that.

Red delicious are nice... But the skin seems to be much thicker compared to other apples, which masks most of the nice flavor. Basically I can only taste the skin, not the juice. It tastes much better after peeling them But i still prefer other apples so i can eat those with the skin on. Saves time plus adds fibre while still tasting very nice

Skipping breakfast is the worst thing to do since the body already had no food for 8-10 hours during your sleep. I think eating breakfast keeps the metabolism up, so then i can skip lunch without affecting it too much until i reach dinner (dinner feels more rewarding when lunch is skipped ). Often i don't feel hungry for breakfast though. Just today i did eat breakfast, and skipped lunch as i did not feel hungry at that time instead . I'm not a doctor, but judging with the fact that not eating food for longer than 16 hours can alter the results of a blood test (i had one today ), i assume that's also when the metabolism slows down to conserve energy. The gap between breakfast and Dinner is around 10-12 hours, which is under 16 hours. Though really I should be doing even more research about this subject...

Once my sisters and I made mini cheesecakes and I had them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

When I was younger I actually used to go around the house and make the staple removers creatures that would float around and bite everyone else (the plastic toy dinosaurs). So dinosaur A had to rescue dinosaur B from the creature.

Im really going off topic now. XD
