Description I drew this little grey fox today, and because I was bored and in the mood to play with photoshop, I dropped him into a foresty background.

looks pretty good actually... I think I've matched up the light sources.

It is absolutely adorable. Absolutely. Greys are my favorite type of foxes (if my avatar doesn't give that away), and this one is quite good. You've the got the fur patterns right, attention to detail and shading, and it matches the background, more or less. Though why did you post this in kitsune club, though? I've never heard of a grey fox kitsune, though I'm trying change that, myself....

haha... thanks!

"Kitsune" simply means "fox" in japanese and does not have to refer to any particular incarnation there of in Shinto folklore (the word kitsu being japanese for the sound a fox makes (wich makes it sort of like the wword for wolf. ookami, naming an animal again after its voice)).. however, the kitsune is represented in that folklore as an intellligent, sentient being. this fox has an expression that shows awareness beyond the normal animal senses so it works with the traditional kitsune folklore as well.

Yes, yes... though I'm still of the opinion that the term should mostly be used for foxes believed to have spiritual and/or magical powers/traits, though this could be said of all foxes as well. I'll accept that, then. Either way, nice fox.

I think it came out pretty good, I like the texture. Did you draw the fox with marker pens?

yep, I used prisma colour markers (which were starting to go dead halfway through)
