Maple Thorpe is a Norwegian drag king, clown and entertainer. He is working for the drag show group Haus of Friele which is named after the LGBT-activist Kim Friele. During the Pride month he and his group have drag shows in different cities in Norway. I have watched the drag group in the pride parade in 2022 and 2023. I enjoyed the shows and think Maple Thorpe is a great drag artist. I think he is funny, charming, has creative costumes and good makeup skills. He designs and sew all his costumes.
I'm wondering if Maple Thorpe's makeup is inspired by Chinese opera and Kabuki. It looks like that.
