Here is a «portrait» of Fehmklez Jamal (also known as Femikladd). Fehmklez was the servant and lover to the wealthy nobleman Rayiys (رئيس). I found inspiration from Middle eastern and oriental art. For example Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Afghan art pieces. I also took inspiration from Develv (Elveo and DevaKami). The characters, story and design are fictional. In the drawing descriptions to «Master and his lover» and «Fehmklez’ dilemma» you can read the backstory to my fictional character (OC) Fehmklez.
Fehmklez was described as someone with a great beauty. He had raven black curly long hair, brown eyes, a slender figure and was fair. He had soft skin, always shaved his mustache and couldn’t grow a beard. At times it was difficult to tell if he was a man or a woman. Many people who didn’t know him often assumed he was a woman. When he spent his time with his master or entertained his master’s guests, he often dressed femininely. He wore dresses or long flowy clothing decorated with ornaments. He also wore golden jewelries, sweet flower-scented perfumes and makeup like kohl eyeliner and lipsticks. His mannerism was lady like. He had traits that wasn’t common for men to have at his time and culture. He had an expressive body language, a rich vocabulary, was emotional and talked with a natural high-pitched voice. Many of his master’s guests described him (Fehmklez) as highly intelligent, someone able to keep long deep conversation, entertain and dance. Fehmklez was someone who liked learning and he became a skilled artist. He loved painting and calligraphy. His master paid his education as exchange for his service. He was taught different languages, dancing, art and improving of his writing. Even the master’s jealous wife Ghadib noticed all the special traits Fehmklez had. Fehmklez became a great lover and he learned early on how to please his master. To the master Fehmklez appeared as someone passionate and lovely. When other men tried to seduce Fehmklez, the master would defend him and chase them away.

I’ve done several attempts at making a «portrait» of Fehmklez and failed. They didn’t turn out the way I wanted to. The one shown on DeviantArt is the drawing I was the least unhappy about. I think it’s harder to draw a fictional character with limited to no reference pictures compared to drawing celebrities and family members where I’ve a photo in front of me all the time.
