A little tribute drawing to Neil Armstrong. I think his passing reminds us of the beauty and amazingness of exploring space, and hopefully we as a species can work together to keep pushing the envelope of space exploration.PS. I debated making the moon sad and crying, but it just didn’t look right…

Normally I don't get choked up when a celebrity or historical figure passes away, but in Neil's case I came close. His "one small step" opened up a whole new world to generations to come. How many men or women can honestly say that?

I'm sure a crying moon would still make a beautiful drawing, but a smiling moon was the right decision I think. It looks more like a happy memory of his visit to the moon, rather than a very sad goodbye
