It definitely has great music! I read a professional movie review, from when it was released, and they said that the music was typical and uninspiring.

I don't know what they were listening to but I thought it was quite catchy.

Critics don't know what they're talking about anymore they've turned way too old fashioned. Who are they comparing this to? Concidering the movie was originally made to never leave India I think they did pretty good. Thats why I always try to see the movie before I do anything with it. I've seen it without subs or anything to make it easy to understand, I was lost through certain parts but I still love it enough to want the DVD. I heard they're finally doing an English Dub so I'm waiting for that so I can watch it in both ways (english dub then sub) so I can truly understand the movies magic. You really did capture the magic of Roadside Romeo, I just wish that there was more art of this.

Well I think the reviewer that posted it had seen the movie when it was out over in India. They just felt that (referring to the music) it was to typical and rehashed to many songs that are currently out there.

English dubb, that'll be interesting to see!

Thanks!

Well it is originally aimed at never leaving India but you know how these things go. Personally I think it has a much brighter tone than some of the things we get in the west so I'm all for it.

There have been no actual news about an English dub, so what the person heard was nonsense.

The English subs were helpful to me, at least they helped me understand Interval's jokes and all that stuff

Where did you hear about the English dub, though?

Someone said so on YouTube I can't remember where, but I'll wait and I'll have it as soon as I can. I don't mind subs but the dub gives me more insight into the true story.

The chances of a Bollywood film getting dubbed in English are very low.

Not if Disney worked on it and thinks it can make more money.

Don't you hate it when companies become greedy?

Henaru In reply to MaxDrawsFatsMostly [2009-04-14 20:51:06 +0000 UTC]

Yes and No depending on what they do to get more money. Though it pains me to no end to see that Disney lost the Magic when they lost Walter I do believe they keep some of what he began alive, even if it is just to get more money. But Disney nearly went bankrupt at one point because of Pixar so they try to make enough so they can handle a few bad years for themselves.

My favourite characters from the movie were Chhainu, Mini, Interval and the little mouse, and my favourite songs were "Choo Le Na" and "So Right".

Someone thought some songs were too similar to "The Circle of Life" and "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat". What nonsense!

Hehehe that's awesome, man. Didn't expect this. Hell, this has to be one of the only pieces of true gift art I've ever gotten. Thanks. Even got his collar right and everything ;3

Random factoid from Director's Commentary: He wanted the stars in the sky to sparkle for every scene, but due to the effort that would take, it was reduced to only on the rooftop scenes. If you look closely, you'll see the stars in the distance twinkling.

Least I could do and but of course, I'm a stickler for detail!

Sadly my stars don't twinkle either . lol cool factoid!

Charlie Anna's VA played an extra comedic role in another Hindi film, late 2005. He was the eccentric landlord for Romeo's VA and his girlfriend. The character he played? Crocodile Dundee. o.o;; I want to see this movie now. But I'm scared at the same time. [link] XD

Also, Romeo and Laila's VA's are dating in real life, oddly enough. People also consider Laila's VA to be a bit of a bitch, and Romeo's to be a spaz. Hahaha... I know too much. Kill me. Please.
