I love this shot. It reminds me of a hot summer day spend at my grandparent's place. An arid summer day, where even the air has shadows.
I can't breath at the thought.

It reminds me a lot my summers at my grandparent's country house, because I spent so many many many time in those forests and fields... this picture has been taken in one of those fields.
Ô Normandie! J'aime vos longs cheveux blonds onduler en vagues pressées sous les rafales, vos bois et vaux qui serpentent sous ma bicyclette endiablée, et cette paisible rivière qui nourrit la terre, aussi, surtout...

Yes, those kind of images never fade. Plus, the fact that the image is B&W makes it even more torid (does that word exist in English? ugh).
Lovely shot once again. Don't you miss it?

Torrid, of course! In French we have "Torride" too. God bless latin!
If I miss it...
This place is a part of myself, I feel good there, it's terrible because all the memories make me nostalgic, but it's a wonderful place, I'm so sad that my grandparents will have to sell the house...
Those fields, the garden, even the house is an Eden, a old half-timbering house, with two barns, and this big tree in the garden, or the swing near the apple trees... and the forest behind, the wheat fields, the cows, the frogs pond, and the old donkey in his meadow, in the end of the little road, we were wishing him good night everytime we could (and feeding him of course). The poor animal must be dead now..

Of course. I just wish I could go there a bit more before I could not anymore.
I'd like you would see it, it's a wonderful place. A little heaven..

Always hungry? Normal. You know, the legendary "Transylvanian hunger".
It was not that fun, but it was good. This noon, there were my parents and my two sisters, we were celebrating their birthdays, one late, and one in advance
I ate this sturgeon, with little pieces of duck breast and a fried foie gras (duck liver)[all dishes with duck are specialities of my region], it was divine. And the chocolate and coconut dessert... slurp, I'm hungry now, damn!
We drank a wine called "Les sorcières du clos des fées", which means: the witches of fairies vineyard. It was fine.
Yesterday night, it was a bit different, I was with friends, in a medieval banquet, there were music during the dinner (a medieval band ^^), it was really great!
The food was amazing too, oh dear I'm getting more and more hungry again! There was no wine but a cider, and we had 5 dishes! A starter, two main dishes, and two desserts.

Aye...hunger.
Oh, I knew only about one of your sisters...Duck? We rarely have any, we eat more rabbits and chicken instead, but ummm...the dessert sounds ravishing !
"Fine" is not enough for a French wine!
Ah, I long after such evenings, we don't really have such manifestations there. There things seem to be more rural and welcoming I guess...

Well, I've got two sisters, a nice little one, and a horrible tyranic and boring older one.
Duck is delicious dear, it's totally different of any other meats.
And the dessert was ravishing, indeed
Hum, no no no. You don't know me! Neither my city.. Bordeaux is a temple of wine. When you live in Bordeaux, there is no "French wine", there is: Bourgogne (East of France, medium wine, our enemies), the rest of all wines of the world and of France, some of them are really good (some italian wines or Argentine wines) but most of them are plonks, and there is Bordeaux wines, and there you have the little medium wines, the good wines, the excellent wines, and the divine wines. Of course, prices are increasing with the taste.
The wine we took was ok, but it wasn't a good wine. You see, talking about wine to a French person is delicate, you must know those things, because here this wine is something we have easily, it's much cheaper in Bordeaux than in any other places you will buy a Bordeaux. That's why we are much more difficult to content than anyone else
And we're very proud of our wine, actually overproud, so don't forget: we produce the best wine in the whole world!!
Cheers!
