All this greed for attention, doffThat gown tonight before I scoff,
It doesn't take the onus off
Insatiable eyes and fingers.
My dear, I fear the looming cloud
Consumerism has us cowed,
Enlightenment within a crowd;
The scorpions hide their stingers.
Can social media amend
This generation on the bend?
In trying may we all transcend
The terribleness that lingers.
