so this is my work-in-progress trade forit's for her 'share a rainbow' trade
she already made me a wonderful set of rainbow sweets: [link]
I'm a little behind with the icon but I wasn't satisfied enough and still am
so I'm still working on it 
I just want to show her some results
I badly want to add some shimmering effect but I have no idea how to get there - any help?

This is so awesome!! I love it and I love the little cloud he looks very busy like he's going somewhere important. 
I know that said he'd be putting up a tutorial soon on how he puts the sparkles into his icons.

What sort of shimmer are you looking for? A glossy look on the rainbow, or something sparkly?

Are you using photoshop? Perhaps a star or sparkle brush in white or very pale blue would work. You could then add a faint glow around it in white or pale yellow, using layer effects.... Um, did I explain that right? Does it sound workable?

that's a cool idea, but I want the sparkle to sparkle (move )
and the pic is 50x50 px so it's hard to use a brush shape - it's too big

hab zwar keine ideen...aber ich find das so schon ziemlich klasse!! sieht so aus, als wenn ein auto eine straße überquert

ööööhhh dann muß ich wohl wirklich noch dran arbeiten wenns wie ein auto aussieht, aber das softe schweben der wolke hab ich bis jetzt nicht hinbekommen
