Rape can also affect those who aren't physically hurt.

I was sad to see Carvair retire... and then he died soon after, it seems he never overcame the pain of failing his mission.

It wasn't the mission he was upset about. He felt that he had failed his crewmates.
This is a slightly happier result of what happened.

Here's another Nlian officer that was given a grim mission.
Let me know what you think!

Valnor seems like a great guy! It was a good move, retiring when the fleet was merged with Silly Star Fleet!

Poor Nyteer! V'nara reminds me of Daphne in some ways, except she's asexual. Though I can see Daphne having sex with a bonded Nlian if she knew it would be torture for them, but she'd still take it slow. The ending itself is rather bittersweet with Nyteer reuniting with his life mate and the Orions being punished. However, the emotional scars can never fully heal.

Once again, the details are very impressive.

Thank you.
Through this story I'm trying to show how a crime has many angles and sides, affects many different
people and has effects years down the line.
I also wanted to show how even if the perpatrators are brought to justice it doesn't undo the damage done.
In so many stories people are obsessed with revenge. Revenge solves absolutely nothing and punishment
in many ways is futile except perhaps as a future deterrent.
