This is a Republic class ship. A Starfleet vessel that exists in my AU 'New Start' verse

The Republic class are among the more common of Starfleet vessels. They're seen all over Federation space and are often assigned as support to Stabases. A true jack of all trades, they're designed to take on any type of mission. They don't specialize in one particular area but are instead geared to be able to perform well in all areas and they've been nicknamed the 'Well Rounders' as a result.

Be it resupply, transport, escort, patrol, support, scouting, survey or light exploration; you name it and a Republic at some point has done it. They're extremely capable and known for their great dependability. While not flashy, those who serve on them take pride in the fact that they do important missions without Starfleet needing to send a more powerful or specialized ship.
