This is quite complex - it must have been hard for you to make this?

You mean, complex in what way? The character setting?
It's true that I usually draw people next to eachother, not really interacting with eachother, and withouth any feeling of depth in the image, so in this way it was indeed hard... but I've also been very inspired throughout the whole progress. That is, while making the lineart (Rei and Minako mainly), and then while colouring that followed long months of procastination...
So my answer is yes and no. Working when I'm inspired and in the mood: easy. Working without inspiration on things I'm not experienced at: almost impossible...

I like the movement, I wish all the girls were moving, and Makoto was not so hidden, but I guess to draw movement is hard O.o I don't know.
I think you did a great work drawing the clothes

Yeah, one can tell I found it hard to find a place on the paper for her to squeeze into

I like how your shades are always slightly desaturated and 'non-intrusive' Good to see you do digital every now and then ^_^

Oh, thank you. I do prefer desaturated colours, it looks more delicate to me

I'm surprised you like my digital colouring too, last time I remember talking to you about this, you said you mostly watch me for my traditional pieces

Now that my scanner doesn't work, I'm kind of forced to colour my linearts which have been lying around for awhile digitally, which is a good thing, but it reminds me again how much I lack experience and skills in digital colouring... Maybe there are quicker methods, but usually it takes several days for me to colour a single piece with all those 30+ layers... One reason why I update so rarely...

I try to work on as few layers as possible, or merge them when I know they won't need anymore work on them to save used memory Not only because it lessens the chaos of working on so many (and having to find the right one) but also because my PC is really slow and lags/freezes when I get too much memory used. I have really good parameters to work fast and make complex, big files in Photoshop on my laptop, but I really don't like using it for drawing/colouring U_U (different Operating system, widescreen which I dislike etc)But I think spending a day up to few days to colour something is about right Depending on the effect you want to get of course
And I still like your traditionals best, I'm just saying it's good you're using different media

Oh, about the speed... When I see artists doing livestream, or read their comments under a super detailed work saying it took a couple of hours for them to complete, I really begin to question if spending as much time as I do is normal. But, I guess, I shouldn't compare myself to them in the first place

everyone has different experience and skill level, it's not good to compare to those super-fast people as it can only get us down We have to take it at out own pace and let it flow natural, I think
