What is A Flock of Ravens?

Yay! I can finally upload this! I feel like this picture shows a vast improvement, though I'm still iffy about the coloring. The coloring is better than it usually is (especially for the skin tone), but I'd like to aim for a more painterly look in the future. Anyway, I'm still very happy with this-- much more than I usually am when I finish a picture.

Even though the art style is still manga, it's a lot more toned-down and mature-- Fallene looks so different from that person sitting in her last picture >3>;; I've gone back to using black lineart, but I tried to make it thinner than it's been in the past. Colored lines are nice, but I've found that they don't really add that much to a picture as long as the inking is thin enough. On the other hand, I tried something new with the dress pattern. Drawing floral patterns is time consuming, but it's not as awful as I first thought it would be.

Now that I know this style works, I'll be able to move ahead with my art and try drawing my other characters.

... I have no clue why there's a statue's head in her lap. And, yes, I've decided to sign the picture with the kanji for my name; it just felt right at the time >_>
