Overall
Vision
Originality
Technique
Impact
This piece of artwork is absolutely incredible. This stellar representation of the god, Anubis, is breathtaking. It embodies everything one would expect upon meeting the Egyptian God of the Dead.
The coloring technique used is very considerate of proportion. I'd say that anyone, mobile or computer, small screen or large, can easily see and enjoy the details. Nothing tatters out into pixels, or looks ''too small''.
The whole thing is set up very well, and is easy to enjoy with one quick look, or a long examination. When you look at it, you can see the broken tatters of buildings, and also a pyramid. The skulls seem to go on forever, you can even see a faint red glow where they proceed into the city. One thing I love, is how each skull is different, sporting cracks and holes. A couple have half, or even their whole face broken off!
The lighting is done extremely well. Not only is there dark evil-red light, seen from the power of Anubis as well as the skulls, but also a clear white light that filters down. The white light made the grey-scale and golds look natural and FANTASTIC!! A+ for contrast and saturation.
The impact of this artwork portrays a sense of deep triumph. You can feel that Anubis has been working and waiting for this moment, and it rubs off on the viewer in dark excitement.
I don't have much criticism for this, but I do have a couple minor things.
Underneath the onslaught of skulls is a dark void. It's flat, and it looks like they are sitting on nothing. I am not sure if it was intentional, but when you maximize the image to look around, it's the first err you see (doesn't match the detail of the rest of the artwork thus drawing attention).
Overall, this is a gorgeous scene, that inspires a dark satisfaction and a favorite from any sane person. It was great to be watched streamed, and I'd LOVE to see it on my wall, or in my calendar.
Good work, Seka---Keep doing you!

I remember seeing this WIP both on your stream and on patreon, and I knew it was going to be epic from those alone, but this absolutely blows my mind. This is a really original concept, and the way you displayed it is both beautiful and epic. You portrayed Anubis extremely well, and his anatomy looks fantastic! He has such an intense gaze here, and he looks so serious, which just adds to the mood of this image! I really love the skulls, and I must say, one of my favorite parts of this is the chain of human ribs wrapping around the city in the background. It reminds me very much of a centipede wrapping around its prey before devouring it. I've never seen anything like it before, and I just love it!
I really like the dark mood in this too. I've been addicted to dark themes lately, and this is only feeding my addiction. It's intense and epic, but it's not too much. It is just right
Wonderful job on this, Seka! I really love how it turned out!

Ohhh man wow I dont know what to say.
Thank you sooo much! I am really really happy you like it!
lately my mood is not really the best so this was a good way to ears some frustration.
I discussed with my friends who well anubis and apophis(the huge snake in the bg) would look together.
and then I had a picture in my mind :'D
As always I am not happy with it. I still need to figure out my own technique for drawing in photoshop.
I just have to learn more and watch more videos of the design cinema :'D
Anyways I hope I can satisfy you with my future content ;w; <3
And thank you very much again <3

I have also been having some mood issues. A lot of internal battles, loss of motivation, and things of that sort :'D
It is certainly a unique picture, in a very good way. I love all of your concepts for your images >w<
I think you are certainly on the right path! And I know you will do that no matter what <33
And you're most welcome Seka!

Not a fan of drawing in photoshop but photoshop can definitely make really cool effects. You certainly captured the end of civilization. This would make for a cool poster. XD Wish I could get a print from you but I'm not in Europe. In any case, amazing job and keep up the amazing work. ^-^

hahahaha great analogy. XD My one friend found it easier than sai. I've used cs3 and then cs7. I have attempted to use cc. I've tried the stabilizer thing like sai has but it didn't work well for me. Stabilizer saves me. XD
You're very welcome. ^-^ Got pretty excited when I saw it in my feed. I hope it does well at the con. ^-^

I'm gonna try and keep my nerdy side under control.
I think you have just caught what everybody thinks of Anubis in one drawing. When this loaded and popped up on my screen I could just feel the ra power coming off of him. ;w;
Although I can't leave a long coment because I would then be repeating everything EmberScarlet has said this is truly a powerful yet beautiful peice you have right here. Phenomenal job!

:'D I think it's best I don't Egypt alone can get me to write paragraphs about culture, mythology, and even farming. My torn jobs are an artist and a teacher for World History.
Its a breath taking peice! I'd be suprised if someone didn't like it;0;
I think a lot of people love Ancient Egyptian mythology and when you can catch one of the most popular God's in a single drawing you'll win a lot of hearts with it.
