I think it'd be cool if they had more 'decorations' like maybe the males have them for competitions. Or all of them do I don't really know what you prefer. Oh! or maybe they have different colorations to them that make each of them slightly different and unique to each other, like zebras. Sorry if you don't like the ideas.

Of course, I love your ideas I think each of them wouldΒ
have a different skin patterns.
Maybe they would have multi colored tails and who
ever had the most colorful and different
would get the mate.
Because I think if each of them had whole different patternsΒ
predators could get them.
So if it was just their tails they would be a bit more hidden.
Or something like that.

Yeah that makes sense. I do know of a bird thingy that hid these pretty and bright purple feathers under more camoflaguaged feathers so it could control when it was vulnerable to predators. SO yeah, something like that^^^

only showing their true colors when
they needed to and changing into their
normal colors when danger is near.
