Now with Alolan form.These guys were made to use with my Pokemon Trainer bases: selenaede.deviantart.com/galle… (Note: this does not mean that you can only use them with those bases, only that I sized them to be used with them)
If anyone has suggestions on which Pokemon they'd like to see next, feel free to comment with them

Darn you and your Marowaks, you make this the easiest Trial yet! It starts out KINDA hard, but then the difficulty meter plummets down. FAST. You gave birth to a meme!

Alolan Marrowak is kind of cool, it's unprecedented, because it' the only Pokemon I know that goes from a single type to 2 different types when it evolves, going from Ground to Ghost/Fire. It does look pretty awesome with it's flaming bone, and it did do a pretty awesome fire dance during your trial.

Yeah, they're neat but a little sad. You know, I've heard a theory that they were originally supposed to be connected to Kangaskhan, and that a Cubone was the joey that grew up after it's mother died and took her skull, a Marowak was the adolescent stage, and Kangaskhan was when it was fully grown and has a joey of its own.
At least this whole grim mythology is kind of disproven after Gen II, when nothing bad happens to the mother after a Cubone egg hatches. Getting back to Kangaskhan, another odd quirk of egg hatching is that Kangaskhans are hatched fully grown already with joeys in their pouch. My theory is that they aren't actually mother and child then, but instead are fraternal sisters that are born from the same egg, always a big and a small version that share a symbiotic relationship with the larger sister looking after the smaller one in its pouch.

I'm thinking that maybe some of the Pokedex entries aren't 100% factually true and actually include some urban legends or myths, which is where the idea of all cubone's wearing their mother's skulls and crying comes from. I could be wrong, but it would make sense. I can definitely see how the theory/idea of Cubone and Marowak evolving into Kangaskhan would come from because their are an awful lot of similarities between Cubone and the joey. I really like your idea of Kangaskhan and the joey being sisters instea dof mother and child as it would efinitely explain why they hatch with a joey already

Yeah, a lot of the Pokedex stuff is kind of outrageous and does sound more like urban myth and lore that actual facts a Professor should be putting in a database. They wild claims have lead to a parody more than once I've seen called "Dexbusers" in the line of Mythbusters where the Mythbuster crew put Pokemon through tests to see if the Pokedex's claims are myths or truths. They had a Sharpedo slammed unconscious against the hull of a battleship to prove it can't bust through it.
Hmm, you know, everyone is always perplexed that that Pokedex seems preloaded with info, wondering why the Trainer needs to 'fill it out' like it's a big scientific endeavour. Well, maybe it isn't prefilled, and it's the trainer, not the player, who is filling it out, and thus, all the info is something written by a 10 year old, explaining its wild inaccuracy.
Yeah, there are some definite connections between the 3, and would have made and interesting dynamic between the 3.
Yeah, I mean, dead mom's skull is one thing, that could just be a myth, but it's quite obvious 'mother' and 'child' seem to hatch at the exact same time from an egg, kind of putting the idea of parents to rest, leading me to believe that they are indeed siblings, not parent and offspring. The fact that we can see the joey leave the pouch in the Anime, in platform games and with Mega Kangaskhan proves they aren't just 2 heads that share the same body, connected through the pouch, but being sisters is the only way to explain the exact same birth.
