God, this brings back so many memories. My first Pokemon game was Pearl, and I still have it on my "Shelf of Nostalgia" in my room. What was your first game?

Nice! Technically my first was Silver but it was actually my little brother's copy and I only played it so that I could teach him how (I learned so he could learn since he was really, really little [he was 5 or 6]). My first copy of my own was Gold, which I got after playing Silver to teach my brother. Gold is the one I really think of as my first, but Crystal will always be special to me because it was the first game I could play as a girl in (which was nice, because I am a girl

Good old Gen 2... People say Gen 1 was the best because it started the series. Yeah, well, while Gen 1 may have started it, Gen 2 perfected it. There was so much Gen 2 brought to the table, including shiny Pokemon, the split between Sp Atk and Sp Def, a brand new region to explore and 100 new Pokemon to catch. Awesome generation to start out with, and I'm glad you did!
By the way, have you heard of Monster Hunter?

Gen 2 is probably my favorite Gen overall. I love all of the additions it brought to the table as well as the fact that you have 2 regions to explore. I have not heard of Monster Hunter.

Naturally, Gen 4 is my favourite. It brought in symbols to see if a move is physical or special (thank Celestia), 3D-ish graphics, great music, the best team syndicate ever, the best champion ever, slight balancing issues and, of course, 120 new Pokemon to screw around with. My favourite? Garchomp!
Also, if you have a Club Nintendo subscription, you might've gotten a letter saying you got a few codes to the Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate demo. If you did, great! Use one and play with me! If you did but don't want them, could I have them? If you didn't, you'll have to wait until February 13th to get the full game.

I don't actually have a Club Nintendo subscription, mostly because I'm actually not much of a gamer (I have some games/series that I love to play, but that's it). Otherwise I would totally give them to you. Sorry!
