I hope she does as well, but I fear that maybe the damage has been done to her kids and her relationship with them. She was kind of terrible to them for a really long time to the point that not one but both of them ran away in order to try and stop her mad scheme and protect Pokemon from her. It might be hard for them to forgive that even if she is healed. Lillie might be able to but Gladion doesn't seem the type to forgive so easily.

Oh yeah, even if her mind is healed and she begins to act differently, it's still a long process to repairing the damage done to her kids, especially since it was done while they were both quite young. But what I'm hoping for is that once she's cured, she feels remorse for her action and begins to actively seek forgiveness, which is at least a start. I agree, Lillie might be the one who is first to forgive her, as she's the one who is going with her to Kanto, while Gladion is staying in Alola, and I think it's Lillie who needs her mother to want forgiveness more than Gladion.

It's quite a tragic tale and I really liked that about it, their whole family dynamic. It reminded me a lot of the twisted relationship between Ghetsis and N in Gen 5.

Hmm, yeah, I honestly think that Ghetsis was worse, as Ghetsis always planned on using N as a pawn for his world domination plan, raising him in such a way that he could use him as a pawn in his plans, while N honestly believed he was doing what was best for the Pokemon. 
Lusamine is similarly unhinged with her children, but at least she didn't think her children were pawns in her plot, only their Pokemon. And likewise, it's more a symptom of her madness rather than a genuine malice and ambition for the world.

I definitely agree that Ghetsis was worse. What he did regarding N was completely horrific, especially when you defeat N and he reveals the entirety of his plans and belittled N right in front of him. Total dick move.

Yeah, Lisa mine didn't set out to use her children in her schemes, she was just ridiculously controlling over them in a very realistically controlling parent way. And she said some horrible things to them, but no where near the caliber of Ghetsis's tirade.

Yeah, so we can agree that Lusamine, while cold, cruel and abusive, was miles above Ghetsis, as while she might have done what she done out of a maddened obsession, she at least cared about her children at one point and they were more than just pawns to her. Ghetsis actions on the other hand, were those of a stone cold, emotionless sociopath who cared only for his own ambition and nothing of N once he was done with him. 
I'm sure Lusamine would have loved to have her children by her side if they chose to join her on her quest to get to Ultra Space, she just chose going to Ultra Space over her childrens love when she had to chose between the two, but she probably would have loved to have both. Ghetsis on the other hand, probably cared nothing about N, and would have openly rejected him if he tried to join him on his plot.
