Description The Davu Priests are an interesting sect. They are formed mostly of White colored Davu, as they do not really fit anywhere else into society, though Whites may occasionally be found among the merchants and artisans or, very rarely, with the military. They generally have increased ability and tolerance for their telepathic abilities, some of the more trained priests can hold mental conversations for extended periods of time, and over great distances. Many of them are empathetic, to the point where they can tell if someone is lying or not or if someone is hiding information.

Whenever a Davu shows signs of telekinetic abilities they are sent to study with the priests immediately, no matter how young and no matter what color. Telekinesis is seen as a dangerous hindrance if not properly trained, and rightfully so. There have been many incidents in their past with psychotic individuals with the capability to move objects with their minds. Now this is not to say that all telekinetics are prone to going insane, there are likely many that learned to hide their abilities at an early age and live perfectly normal lives. After training many of the priests return to their previous lives, though generally those of the lower classes stick with the Priests as their lives tend to be of a much higher quality.

The priests do not tolerate violence, and will only allow their members to participate in conflicts under the most dire of circumstances. They are the most tolerating of groups within Davu society, going so far as to severely punish their disciples and apprentices if they discriminate against other colors. Of course such punishments rarely leave lasting scars or spiteful memories, as then the punishment's intended purpose would not be served.

The political divisions of Davu society, mainly the upper class, often feel threatened by the toleration the priests show for all social classes. They are afraid it might catch on with the rest of society and that it would throw their world into chaos, as such the priests are not allowed to publicly preach their doctrines. Almost everybody knows the most basic of them, however, and the upper class would not dare in incite the wrath of the priests, and for good reason.

There were once two brothers, hatched from the same egg in a rare case of twins. They were both considered the first born to the throne. Their parents died in a tragic accident before either of them could name their successor, and the resulting conflict between the brothers led to a civil war. The war dragged on for a year, with many Davu succumbing to the horrors. Finally, just as the new year was rolling around, the Davu Priests finally stepped in.

The results were devastating. In their anger and rage at the foolishness of the brothers the priests tore through the battlefields, incapacitating the minds of the fighting soldiers, even destroying some of the weaker, or more stubborn minds. It was horrifying, and for weeks both sides joined forces in order to put an end to the unexpected assault. It was futile, however. The priests were trained in using their minds, and could do so in battle, many of them forming temporary bonds with soldiers with a single touch in order to crush their minds into submission. Others, skilled and trained in telekinesis simply crushed the very bones of the soldiers or trapped them beneath rubble and dirt. In the end only the priests were left standing, and a new respect, and fear, of the priest division was born.

Unfortunately the battle forced many of the priests to suicide, torn asunder with grief and shame. The priests are still recovering to this day, and a few of the oldest elders even remember personally what had occurred. The two brothers, exiled or killed, no one really knows what happened after the battle, disappeared. Their younger brother took the throne in their place, having kept out of the conflict, and as such, alive. He turned out to be a kind and merciful ruler, taking great steps to return the kingdom as it once was.

The individual shown here is fairly old, but he is not old enough to remember the conflict of the Great Slaughter, and knows only what he has read in history books. The number of sashes on his belt show that he is of substantial rank, though he is not the head of any of the sub-divisions as shown by the lacking beads on the sashes. The beads on his necklace are Lapis-Lazuli, Rhodonite, Roselle, and Mother of Pearl. These gems are believed to provide inner peace, emotional stability, and the harmonization of the heart and mind. Each individual will wear different beads according to their own beliefs or desires.

That's a great story and all, but can those aliens preach while still looking awesome on a hoverboard?

I'm sure they could look suitably awesome on a hoverboard. though that's not a hoverboard the priest is using, and I do not understand the outrage over him using it.

Yeah, why does religion have to suck up all the fun out of everything?!

(P.S. There's no official universal term for this recently new device, so most people just often call them a hoverboard)

I know right? xD

And I see. I tend to call it the segway without a handle. xD

I'm sure the Davu priests would be curious about such a device, though maybe a wee bit wary at first. Their technology isn't so advanced.

Haha. xD Mine too. Who wouldn't like peaceful people with the ability to crush your mind. xD The nice ones are always the most dangerous as they say~

Hnn. Almost done with the societal sects of these guys. Just have the military to do. Then a few more informative things and I think I'll be done. Might be opening up adoptables of these guys... maybe... Think people might be interested in that?

Well I would . Personally I've had mixed results with adopts, I can never predict what people want because its really backwards. I think you should give it a try! Unfortunately, a great way to do it is by flooding different adoptable/dragon groups with it to get it into the inboxes of potential owners.
