Description well here's the final inked version of ~ultema 's prize for the first OC Contest I had held. Took awhile to get done cuz I've been having problems after problems with my pens.

Anyways, this was an incredibly fun character to draw. Its not often I come up with a character myself with this amount of detail, so to draw ~ultema 's Utlema was quite the treat. lol. At the time, it had been awhile since I had flexed my pencil muscles. It really was a quick way to get back to where I was. Hell, even further.

That's a pretty good drawing of Ultema. I especially like how you drew her false left arm.

I'm about to continue on with my version of the Ultema drawing by the end of this week (hopefully). I've been doing it since early June.

Thanks. This one took awhile, but was well worth the effort. I still plan to color it one day. We'll see I suppose.

I'm curious as to how yours will turn out. Just keep at it. The hard part is that arm in my opinion. lol

I was working on the Ultema drawing for the first couple of weeks of my break, but it had to be put on hold, because I had to fix my Insomnia Oekaki oekaki site.

The site suffered a mishap from a upgrade that required all of the old drawings and comments to be wiped out. The oekaki board at one point used to have almost 250 drawings, but now it's down to just 38. The number of drawings to store has been upped from 300 to 1,000.

It'll be difficult, if not impossible to get the oekaki as active as possible, unless it gets promoted.

Thank you. I definitely put a LOT of effort into this one. I haven't drawn anything nearly this detailed in awhile, but I should have something near as good soon enough.

Unfortunetly I haven't drawn anything remotely CLOSE this detailed as of late, but I got plans for some pretty tight pencils comin up in the near future that'll hopefull rival this piece.

And uhh.... is this a hint at a possible coloring of the piece? *keeps fingers crossed*

haha. BUT I'mma have a contest coming up you just might be interested in. I'mma try to post it in my journal sometime later today, so keep an eye out for that.

You really did a great job on that detail! Even though you said you had trouble with your pens, I certainly can't see any with those clean inks that you've laid down. Form and pose look great, too.

Actually, I started having problems with the pens when I started the big mechanical arm. I had to go over each line 4 or 5 times to maintain the strenght and thickness. unfortunetly, it resulted in messing up the writing on the arm. But thats okay. Thats an easy fix if I ever happen to color it.

The details are the fun part. Easy to ink to. lol. ...but such a BITCH to color.

Definitely one of my strenghts I should be showing a lot more, but hardly do for some reason. lol. I'mma have to see about changing that.

Actually, that was meant as a pretty big comment. No sarcasm involved, I swear. I really did enjoying drawing this one. Got me to flex some muscles I forgot I had. This was THE pic that got me thinkin "Holy shit.... I CAN still draw! I can friggin do this!" No lie. This one actually made me feel quite accomplished. And I'll tell ya, there ain't nothin like feelin that new breath of life, man. All my friends noticed it instantly. It was great. Soooo I thank YOU for that, Ulty-sama.
