Hmmmmmmm, is the background too busy?Whatever. So one of my favorite fandom authors wrote a Superbat story because he lost a bet, and it was him, so it was a good story with identity porn (which I love), and after I read it I thought, hey yeah I'll check out the most popular fics in this fandom on AO3 and I haven't been able to leave since.
Augh I'm watching Justice Leage/Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Animated Series and will probably also watch The Batman and any Batman/Superman crossover episodes that exist and the movies as well and I can't stop.
On the other hand, now that I understand Batman, suddenly I understand so much about Robin from Teen Titans. It's hilarious.
Also it turns out Clark and Bruce are every bit as gay as Steve and Tony in the comics and hey at least their costumes are easier to draw. I mean, omg Iron Man I love you but sooooo hard to draw.

I think the background compliments Clark and Bruce very well.
Also, if you want a good Batman/Super crossover type movie I know of one. But I hope you won't mind seeing Wonder Woman also. Have you heard of Justice League Gods & Monsters?
And what do you mean by Clark and Bruce being gay like Steve and Tony in the comics?

The Justice League movies are on my list to watch, though I probably won't get around to them until after I finish BTAS and JLU.
Captain America and Iron Man have a long history of being really quite fond of each other in comics , to the point where if Tony had been born a woman, they'd be married . I've only just gotten into Superbat, and there doesn't seem to be a formally collected list for the entirety of comics history like there is for Cap/Iron Man, but they have many similarly slashy moments. Mostly unintentional hilarity, but then there's that one comic where some guy shoots Batman because that's what would break Superman's heart most of all.
I'm a little surprised that the Superbat fandom isn't bigger, but then the Cap/Iron Man fandom was kicked off because of the need for fix-it fics, which I guess Superbat never needed. The two pairings are really extraordinarily similar and so much fun.

Ah. Now I get it. And you're right about the fanbase for SuperBat being much smaller than American Iron. Maybe folks see Steve and Tony to be a more adorablecouple. And while they are cute, SuperBat Iis my preferred pairing. Clark amd Bruce are a precious pair of dorks.
