So there'd been a lot of Steve/Tony mermaid AUs crossing my dash at tumblr, and I thought, neat, I love mermaid AUs, hey, why should superbat be left out? One of the posts also had these hilarious male mermaid (mermen, whatever) ornaments too, which I used as a reference and riffed the designs off of. I'd link to the picture, but DA isn't letting me. (???)

What really kills me about those ornaments is that they have belly buttons. Like, lol, what? I left them out, since in my head mermaids are hatched from eggs, fish style. Heck, they probably hatch more fish-like and only develop arms and stuff later like how frogs do. Because I think about these things. :
