My Armand cosplay that I wore to Kitacon4 this year. Will credit the person who took it when I find them, because this is probably one of the better shots I have of this cosplay.Really enjoyed cosplaying Armand as he is one of my more favorite characters from the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice.
And yes that is a Lestat you see in the Background there, spacing himself so cunning in shot. Always needing some limelight.

Well thats really flattering to me! Which era would you want to cosplay him from? My outfit was supposed to be based on the 1700's around when he meets Lestat, though technically my friend said Lestat describes him as wearing a lot of black. Though I wanted him in Dark Blue.
My friend is the one who designed the outfit, so I owe a lot to her and her knowledge of period clothes.

I've been trying to decide between 1700's or when he's living with Marius and is a new born vampire which I believe is early 1500s if I remember right. Yes she is right in saying that. When he first meets Lestat he wears a lot of black such as a cloak because he believes he is an evil creature of the night. I already know what he wore when living with Marius because he describes them in his own book.

Yes its when he's in the coven isn't it and Lestat comes and messes it all up haha Well I suppose I'm cosplaying him just after he got out of it. Maybe one of his outfits around when he's in the ThéÒtre des Vampires.
Though if you cosplay him from the 1500's in Venice around the time with Marius I know he liked to wear blue because it pleased him. I'd have to look over the book to research what he wore. But if you have a good idea already then go for it. Or you could make up a 1700's version like me. Though I refrained from going for the morbid looking garb haha only because my Lestat was dressed so elaborately *eye roll* haha
I'd love to put together a modern version for him but I think it'd be a lot less recognizable.

Yeah that would be when he starts dressing better and stops dressing in so much. Probably when he had Nicholas with him since he was pretending to be human at that time.
Yes he wore a tunic, tights, and really large jeweled rings that covered his fingers. If I remember right his tunic usually is dark blue and his tights are sky blue but I'm not sure I want to ever walk around like that. I don't want to do the morbid black costume because I'm trying to get Jenn from Parle Productions to wear her Lestat to a con when I finish my Armand because I want pictures.
The only bad with the modern is he usually cuts his hair shorter and most people probably don't know the character in his normal clothes.

Aha yes that time when he starts to live among mortals again and I've started rereading the book again and I'm up to the bit where he's with Nicholas and the theatre and my god Nikki does my head in hahaha
I remember he has loads of rings on his fingers because when he's with Marius they travel back to Russian to find his family and he takes them all off and gives the rings to them. He probably looked his cutest then.
Oh Jenn does a great Lestat! and taking group photos is always a nice thing. We are hoping to gain a Louis and a Claudia and I can't wait, because its going to be one big hilarious face off between me and my Lestat, as we are probably just going to take it in turns to wind up Claudia and then fight over Louis.
The modern version of Armand I think is the cutest thing, but I just think it'd be difficult for anyone to recognize that character in Modern clothes when they are from such a specific time period. Plus yes he has a thing for cutting his hair doesn't he? I remember him filming himself in his coffin so he could watch it grow back hahahaha

I wish I could reread Vampire Lestat again but my mom's coworker stole my copy that had the first three books in it so now I don't have them anymore no matter how heart breaking that is for me. I fangirled over Nikki since Lestat announces at one point that he shared a bed with Nikki a few times when they were mortals.
Yeah the little cutie had a love for what I describe as jeweled man rings. If I remember right he gives them all to his mother. Back then he was a spoiled little cutie but I love him so much.
I know she does. Jenn is an amazing person, she's pretty much my idol. Adding a Louis and Claudia will lead to a lot of fun for you I'm sure. They did fight over Louis which is funny since Armand also had just little romantic moments with Lestat.
At some point he has his hair tied back and I remember him cutting his hair short at some point. Many people really would have trouble figuring out who the character is.

Things have been busy for me! I've been animating at work and I'm also animating a music video for someone at home so I've had plenty to do myself!
After I've finished this animation at home I'll be sending out lots of job applications as I seriously need to get out of this dead end job at the uni.
