Eastern newt. Make sure he had water available because this is justΒ his baby stage. He will eventually turn brown with specks down from underneath his shin to his belly. As an adult he will be fully aquatic.

Gorgeous picture. He's got so much texture and color on him--I'm finding it hard to distinguish him as a real salamander or a plastic one lol.
