Asami is probably blinded by her happiness of seeing her mom again to really think about what's really happening. I don't think that's her mom... She's in the spirit world, and if her mom is dead that can only be a spirit.
But the real question is: is that the spirit of her mother, or a different spirit pretending to be her mom? O-O
