The Great Lizard lay smoldering in its own smoke … The loosening of its mortal coil finished with one final fierce blow …
The Wizard stumbled backwards into the cloven tree, which had given up its centuries for his protection … He heaved a great broken sigh … scorched in body and soul by the infernal creature …
He slid down to the ground, a painful grimace crossed his features, his bent sword falling over his knees, his shield cast off to one side … the helm toppled from his head soundless to his heedless ears …
He drifted off into a fitful slumber … framed within a spectacularly bizarre landscape, the prone carcass of the felled mythical beast stretched out at his feet …

The MagisterMortis eased in posture, his breaths drew and expelled soundless as the surrounding battleground …

He began to dream of the long road before him, there was a pedestrian figure far off in the distance … whose robes flourished with the cool breeze …the gait of his mount strove forward unprovoked …
