He knew that the remnants of the Death Eaters were hiding in the shadows, watching and listening. He knew that they had killed her precisely for this reason... to put him in a position where he would use the spell or lose his love. He would not give them the spell willingly, but now they would get it anyway. If she died, it would be his fault. Again. He had lost others that he loved to death. He would not lose HER.

It's at LJ, and is called LDWS_darkarts. I'll post a link at my site when I sign up. I can't post the drabble to my page, because the contest is anonymous. For this round, sign-ups are tomorrow, but the contest doesn't begin for a couple weeks. Each Tuesday, they will post a prompt. Those who signed up must post their drabble by Friday. Then we all have until Sunday to vote on the drabbles, which are anonymous, and one can't vote for oneself (I like that they have all these safeguards to make it non-political!), and on Monday, two people are cut from the herd. Repeat until there is one writer left.
Once it's done, I may post my drabbles on my site, but any shenanigans during the process can get one disqualified. (They are SO hard-ass! Just like a certain professor we all know and love!)
