I know it's not perfect.. And I will probably work on it later on..
If anyone has advice.. Please do give, I'm learning..
Cause the girl kinda disappears in the smoke >_> And.. I couldn't find a good monster <_<

Maybe that girl indeed is to much hidden behind the smoke but still, in some way it makes the monster 'stand out' more.
(and interesting to know you made a monster out of a seal XD I was staring to think it was some kind of spookier version of a leech or so

Tips... hmm, maybe you should use different layers. 
But I'm kind of realized the things on my own.
Look for tutorials or a photoshop book online somewhere..

Actually, I used lots of layers x3 But the smoke disappears when you change the settings >_>
But I'll think of something.. For now, it'll just have to do
