This one's from a while back, when I was making animations for a very cool program called Tray Animations, which displays little 16x16 animations in the system tray. I made a couple of others, based on games--Space Invaders, Arkanoid, etc.--and since then little has happened with it, the last traces of the program were on the author's page, [link] , which I'm not even sure is active anymore. Anyway, a while ago I very tediously translated the animation to gif format, improved it a bit, and finally got around to uploading it here. Tell me what you think! This thing took a heck of a lot of time. The screenshot is actually zoomed 4x, click it to open and see the actual 16x16 original size.Related content

Nice, simple tribute to possibly the single most influential milestone in gaming. What's funny is that the animation almost resembles the way I tend to play that game--get a mushroom, get hit, repeat.
Totally worth the effort, man.

I was listening to some Earthworm Jim music, Andy Astroids to be exact, a very bouncy twangy tune, and I saw this animation... LOL!! OMG, you can't imagine how funny that little animation looks with that song! I'll be laughing for a week! *stumbles away laughing hysterically*

The best bit is that the continuity is very good, and the only slightly strange part is that the "mario" goes backwards and left

Thank ya'll for the kind words. It took a *looong* time, but it was fun, or at least my poor memory tells me I enjoyed making it, while at the time I was in fact cursing all things spooty for making me spend countless hours to complete all 93 frames. I am possessed by the art sometimes >.
