It looks like that just because they asked me to change some continents to originals. For example there are 3 continents from WoW in top left corner.

Um, aren't coastlines supposed to look random, because they pretty much are random?

Well, you're right in that continents must be designed with great consideration to tectonic plate dynamics, but your comment concerning the randomness of the coastlines warrants some explanation, don't you think? So tell us...what is random about the coaastlines, and how would you make them less...uh, random? More alike?

"what is random about the coaastlines" - everything, maybe XD That lands not appears be created by vulcanism or some kind of continental drift. Do you imagine continental shelves here? XD I'm supposing is a world map, not a small location in a planet.
"how would you make them less...uh, random" - play more with the forms draw one or more amoebas, move there, sinks here, split there. Move more a bit, throw an asteroid here, build mountains, rises the sea level... play until you get satisfied
[and i hope not sounding rude, english isnt my native language^^]
P.S.: beware with Mercator.

Oh, so you meant they are too uniform. There's not enough randomness in their shapes. Not enough nature-like variety. They're too unnaturally alike. They all seem to be too similar....uniform (uni=one), that is, almost "one form", unlike the myriad shapes, sizes, positions, orientations, elevations, and compositions produced by chance and the forces of nature.
