Thnx, from the looks of your gallery you seem to be quite the GS fan. I guess your excited to see more about the new GS game for the DS at e3 in a week and a half? Nintendo press conference 9am June 15th.
Also, following the tutorial makes the construction of the map really easy. The only problem is, that the tutorial is for just a random map. I had to do some minor stuff to get mountains in specific areas and other stuff like that.

Ah, I see. That's cool. Is there a way to specify the general location or size/shape of continents, or is it truly random?

It takes work to control the aspects of this tutorial, but mostly outcomes are random. The mountains are terrain levels are mostly random, but you can take those randomized mountains and shape them.
