Description
Being requested to undertake some art to celebrate the 40th anniversary of 'Alien' (in time for today's 'Alien Day'), this was the image I came up with: The famous eggs made to look like green wax birthday candles.

I'm a fan of subversive minimalism.

I then added some volumetric atmosphere from Inane Glory's 'Iray Dawn To Dusk 2 Atmospheric Lighting', Ant Farm's 'Alien Corridor Kit', three spherical invisible light sources from KindredArts ' 'Iray Ghost Light Kit 2' and the wax shaders and wick from Vyktohria's 'Iray Wax Shaders'. The eggs are from Fo Render, with my own modifications to look right in Iray renders. The atmosphere makes what I originally came up with a lot more impressive, but it's not as bright as I'd like it to be, because doing so with Photoshop assistance virtually eradicates the volumetric atmosphere.

Might attempt a larger version, but it took ages for this size to render at double!
