Description
Though Dad got many pictures of RAF Jaguars, Armee de l'Air Jaguars were relatively rare sights while we lived in Germany. This one visited Ramstein for the 1979 airshow. This view shows off the difference between the "needle-nose" Jaguar A and the "chisel nose" of the RAF Jaguar GR.1. Because the tail is obscured by glare, I'm not sure which unit A59 belonged to, but based on another picture of this aircraft I've found, it may have been EC 7 based at St.-Dizier, France. A59 still exists as an instructional airframe.
