Thought I would do a solo pic of Trixie, the foul-mouthed pixie, and Eric's "faithful companion". Her real name is Maelyrra Daerieth, but Eric's laziness prevents him from trying to pronounce her name right, so instead, he gave her the nickname "Trixie" because of her love of silly antics and pranks. Trixie's species were among the many interdimensional beings that migrated into our dimension thousands of years ago. Throughout the millennia, their interactions with humans inspired many human folklore and legend, most notably Shakespeare, who wrote the play, "Midsummer Night's Dream". As they settled in different parts of the world, they were given many names by different human cultures, fairies, fair folk, elves, spirits, nymphs, etc. However the true name of their species has long been forgotten, so they just adopt the names the humans give them. While these beings inspired human folklore, the beings themselves were intrigued by human culture and began to adopt to integrate with their cultures, though they try to keep some ancient traditions alive. As a result, many of these being had fully integrated into human society, learning their languages, studying topics learned in human schools, though they created their own schools hidden from humans. Soon, it was hard to tell these being ever came from another dimension. Trixie herself was born and raised in Jersey, and she is far from what you'd expect a "magical fairy" would be in stories.
Trixie lived in Jersey her entire childhood and most of her teen years. Even then, she was always a bit rebellious, skipping school to hang with friends, watching movies and going to live concerts. Despite the scolding she got from her parents and her teacher, Trixie continued these antics until one day, while she was discovered by a human and unintentionally led him to where her community was hidden, an old, rundown hotel. Once discovered, the pixies rendered the human unconscious, but the damage was already done, Trixie had broken one of the biggest rules of the community. As a result, Trixie was cast out of the community, despite the desperate pleas of her parents. In a rage, Trixie hitched a ride on a bus, and left Jersey and her family for good. For almost a year, she wandered around the states, never really staying in one place for long, until she eventually found herself in Key Rock City, a neighbor city of Sapphire City. There she found an empty house that she decided to claim as her own. A week later, a family of humans moved in, and Trixie was not up for having roommates. She began to use her inherit magical abilities to play pranks and try to scare the family out, making them believe the house was haunted. The plan would've worked had they not called a "professional" to purge the house of evil spirits. That professional, was Eric, who thought the whole "haunted house" thing was just a bunch of bullcrap, but he was getting paid for it, so he might as well go through with it. Trixie tried to scare him away too, but it seriously backfired when Eric figured out what was going on. Where a priest would read from the bible to cleanse the house of evil spirits, Eric used the one he brought for show to literally smack Trixie out of the air and stuff her in a jar. When she woke up, Trixie found herself in a bird cage, in a crappy looking apartment. She tried to use her magic to break free, but she suddenly felt a shock coming from her ankle where a ankle bracelet was strapped to her foot. That was when Eric appeared and told her that she had two choices, either she helped him with his cases in the form of community service, or (he pulled out a fly swatter as he offered the deal) he finish what he was paid to do. Feeling that she had little choice, Trixie reluctantly agreed, and the rest is history.

Trixie's species, along with other interdimensional beings, possess an inherit ability to use what we call "magic". However, what we call magic, to them it is simply biology. When the rift between our world and theirs was open, a massive amount of energy from their world poured into ours. This supernatural energy, it's name lost and forgotten to time, is what fuels Trixie's body to perform spells. The rift was left open as long as possible to allow as much energy into their new home as possible until finally the rift closed, sealing them into this dimension forever. The energy absorbs into their bodies much similar to the way solar energy is absorbed into our bodies, and that energy is converted into raw magical energy that Trixie can use to cast powerful spells. While humans are capable of absorbing magical energy, they are nowhere near as adept at using magic as Trixie and her species are, making Trixie far more powerful than Eric when it comes to magical abilities. While these abilities are impressive, her snarky attitude and short temper keep her from being called a "valuable companion".
