My part of a trade with kasatkaorca .
She just asked me to draw an adult male orca, and after several different ideas, I settled on this, a portrait of perhaps the most (in)famous orca in the world, Tilikum.
Tilikum was a captive orca, captured in Iceland, 1983, most known for being involved in the deaths of 3 people and starring in the documentary Blackfish. Tilikum passed away in January this year, and I've been wanting to do something in his memory ever since.

I hope you'll like this, kasatkaorca , and that you don't mind the subject chosen.
I enjoyed working on this, even if water is still something I'm struggling with. I tried some new things, but I still have a lot to learn. However, with my screen dying in the middle of working on this, I'm hoping the colours and saturation looks ok. Please let me know if something looks off. I wanted this to have a soft and ethereal look to it. There's a few details I'm not 100% happy with, so I might go back in the future and tweak things a little.
