Description The gharial (Gavialis gangeticus) is critically endangered species of crocodile. It used to live in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Burma. However, because of destroying their homeland habitat, water pollution and hunting is endangered by extermination. The last population (about 200 animals) is located in India (rivers Girwa and Chabal) and a few of them have survived in Nepal.
I took this shot during my zoo trip. I really love them! Aren´t they amazing? I think they are, so we must do something to save them before they will disappear from this world once and for all.
