When I was about six I caught a glimpse of something rounding the curve just ahead of me as I was walking to school. I was certain that it was a white gorilla and ran to catch up with it. No gorilla, no tracks, no trace. It was frustrating when everyone laughed at my story. Not surprising as I lived in the mountains of West Virginia at the time.
