"Y'all better step back." Kim's voice warped through the gas mask filter. She saw the light shine off the metal surface of his knife -- she didn't hesitate. The black electroplated surface of the stainless steel machete slid free of her back-mounted sheathe. The KHOROS operative hunched low, the goggles of her mask glowing white in the dimness of the underpass.

The man approached. Khaki shirt, neck gaiter, baseball cap and Oakley's. Definitely not a member of Kill.Society. She decided. He looked the part of a paramilitary skeezoid, but didn't follow their tricks of the trade.

Dakota, their Team Leader, barked over the quiet thrum of the tunnel. "Sir, drop the weapon! We are authorized to use deadly force." She stated succinctly for her own benefit. He wasn't about to back down.

"Looks like he wants to fight." Sybil whispered over comms, totally nonplussed with the situation. She was looking forward to a nice calm watch.
