I love the colorfulness, it fits well even for the "grim dark" tematic of Dark Souls.

Actually, that's debatable. We have no idea what happened to Gough after the events of the DLC, and we can assume that he's dead, because we find his ring in Anor Londo in present times. And even still, there's some stuff in Dark Souls 3 that makes it even more confused. I won't say what it is for those who want to find out for themselves, but it's big.

Looking at this picture and listening to the track which you used to draw it really makes it sad to look at.
I mean, we see here a warrior who lost all of his friends and is the last of them and mourning their graves, while their ghostly remains stand by and say their final farewells. Truly, a masterpiece and also a reason why I adore the four knights of Gwyn.

I still somehow think the golden Ornstein was just a replica from parts Β of Smough made by Gwyndolin and the Old Dragonslayer was the real one, who went with the real Gwynevere to protect her.

Im pretty sure hes not golden since metal reflects the surroundings. and the hall you fight him in has that color so he has to have it as well thats why, i think when you actually wear the ornstean boss armor your not golden but a combination of different colors in the surroundings, ^^ depends on the settings. that made me come to this conclusion.

This is fantastic and really moving... especially when you consider how close they must have all been. I'd be really nice get, say, some kind of comic or animated series explaining how the Four were formed and how they interacted with each other.

No one is sure... My personal theory is that he left the band after the fall of Artorias, leaving for other countries.
Or maybe he stood in Oolacile, to protect what could be... Or accepting his fate, he let himself absorbed by the Abyss.
But his fate is unfortunetly hopless... Such is the fate of the warriors in the world of Dark Souls.

I keep Wondering to myself whether or not Ornstein and smough are bad people. Because on one hand there purpose is to guard anor londo from invaders, which is why they attack you in the first place, but on the other hand, they seem to into the fact that there trying to kill you, and the way they enter the boss arena seems to be really sinister.Β

Anyone else notice how Artorias is missing his corrupted arm, between little touches like that and the fact that the Four Knights were probably my favorite characters to speculate about, this picture is definitely my favorite of every group picture of The Four
