This really brings to mind Shaun Tan's book 'The Red Tree.' And that's not a bad thing!

The only book I have read is "Tales from Outer Suburbia". I look forward to reading this when I find it.

Definitely try and track down some of his other books. They're worth it. His website has some good essays about his work too.

The first thing I noticed about this piece was the horizon line wasn't straight, I like it! Great pop with the red trees and pale blue sky.

I know my horizons are typically planar but there are intentions on why.

Very nice pop of colour among the soft land and sky. Simple and wonderfully eye-catching and surprising. Another lovely piece!

I thought it a little intense but when people are looking through so many thumbnails here on DA, I think it good to be noticed occasionally.
Thank you!

Thank you! It is pretty intense. I think the scan may have brightened the image a little.

The rendering of the sky is magical, how it compliments with the fiery red, especially.
