Description
drawn while waiting in my mother's dentist office. There was a sculpture on the wall and I tweaked it a little. Nice lobby. Very "un-dentist". It is a warmer environment with lots of wood trim, plants and warm lighting. I guess they want you to relax.pastel on Nepalese paper.

I was thinking, when I was putting the finishing touches on this, how the creature seemed a lot like Aslan or "Beast" from Beauty and the Beast".

You can definitely see the sculpture's influence here. The eyes, they seem to be just black holes almost, but the subtle detail of the brow reveals that the beast is noble and humble and strong.

Nice work! The lighting is very "sculptural;" it makes the bear seem very solid as he pokes his nose out of the page.
