Ever wonder why Akashi Seijuro likes to win or be on the top always? Well his father was one factor, we actual all know that. But another factor was a girl, none other than [l/n][f/n].

No one knew this except Akashi himself.

It was around elementary school Akashi met you. A girl with [h/c] locks and big shining [e/c]. During those days you were the top in your class beating Akashi. You made small bets back then. He didn’t mind, well because he didn’t see himself as all mighty before.

You were now making tiny braids on his red locks. The bet was if you become top of the class you can braid his hair.

“Ne~ Sei-chan let’s have another bet. If I beat you I can braid your hair all I want to!” You beamed at him. “How about you? What would you want if you win?” You asked Akashi who was now thinking of a reward.

“Then I want a kiss.” Akashi suddenly blurted out. You were surprised at what he said but accepted it nonetheless.

“Okay! But if we both tie then no one receives there prize.” You smiled at Akashi. After that event, you would always end up in tie or you would be higher by a point. However you noticed the changes in him during his fifth to sixth grade. Graduation in elementary both of you tied again and that was the last time you saw each other. He got a bit disappointed learning that you weren’t going to the same middle school as his.

First semester has ended in Rakuzan, and Akashi for the first time was staring at the honor roll list. He was first, no doubt, but below his name was another name. The transferee student’s name, [l/n][f/n].

“Hee , we meet again and I guess you win this time Sei-chan.” You popped out of nowhere and was now beside Akashi. “I’ll take my leave now.” You said and left the red head before he could even say anything. Akashi left also and went to the gym to practice.

As Akashi was in the middle of practice giving out commands and such, he heard the gym doors open. He looks toward the door and saw you, fidgeting.

“Ano… Sei-chan, can I talk to you outside?” You asked looking down and fidgeting.

“Who’s the pretty girl captain? Is she your girlfriend? Or is she gonna confess to you?” Hayama suddenly asked earning a glare from Akashi.

“Kotaro go back to practice” Akashi ordered, making the boy retreat and go back to practice.

“I apologize [f/n] I can’t, since I’m busy.” Akashi told you but you wouldn’t take no as an answer.

“Fine. If you don’t want to go outside I’ll do it here.” You declared to Akashi and some of the players started looking and fearing for your own sake.

“Are you disobeying me?” Akashi asked but with a voice that is threatening making everyone shiver except you.

“No!” You stepped on one of his foot making scowl and lower himself a bit. You took the chance to peck his cheeks. “I’m giving you your prize.” You finished cheekily and gestured a peace sign to him. You spun on your heels and left the dazed emperor. But before you could full exit the gym he stopped you.

“[f/n] I have a bet. When I win the winter cup you’ll have to be mine.” Akashi declared his proposition and a smug smirk on his face.

“Don’t you mean we you’ll be winning as a team after all. Never mind that… If you lose then I want you to grow you bangs longer again so that I can braid it again~” You squealed imagining that you could touch and braid his hair again.

The whole team was watching the situation unfolding in front of them. Someone, no Akashi challenged someone. Everyone thought you were quite a weird girl because of the prize that you wanted from Akashi. But it was cute for them though.

The winter cup was over. You watched as Akashi was crying. You noticed his other eye returned back to the pretty red that you adored. You watch as they lined up and bowed to their opponent. After that they went back to their lockers.

You started to look for Akashi, and saw one room were the team left, but Akashi wasn’t with them. Opening the door, you peered your head. It was dark. Hushed sobbing can be heard in the dark room. You let yourself in and adjusted your eyes to the dark. You spotted Akashi sitting on the wall with his back leaned on the wall. He had his head hung low.

You went near him and crouch down to his level. “Sei-chan…” You called out to him gently. You cupped his cheeks making him look up to your eyes.

“I lost this time…” He smiles sadly at you. And you realized that he wasn’t only crying about the fact that they lost to Seirin but because of the bet also. You giggled at the thought.

“You won something though.” You smiled at him, making him look at you curiously. You rummaged through your pocket and brought out a tiny keychain. Seeing the keychain Akashi chuckled at your uniqueness.

“Hehe… You won my heart!” You chirped and gave him the heart organ-shaped keychain. Akashi pulled you down and smacked his lips on yours.

“But you still have to grow your bangs longer since you lost.” You giggled after pulling away. Today was a win-win situation. Both of you got what you wanted.
