"You can feel it, right? Valentine?"

"... Yeah."

"Heh, I guess this means you'll be rid of me for good this time. ...Are you glad?"

There was a silence between the two souls. Inside Vincent's mind, the demon Chaos hovered close in front him.

He felt his body descending back down towards the ruined Shinra Company, after defeating the WEAPON, Omega. But his thoughts surrounding himself and Chaos seemed to be more at hand.

The last few bonds of darkness fusing Vincent with Chaos were disappearing quickly. After all, the power Vincent relied on had no more reason, so it was departing from his body.

"...Yes," he replied.

"Bastard, I never liked you anyways, Valentine. But, we did show the almighty "Emperor" what a pawn could do, ne?"

Suddenly, Vincent felt claustrophobic after the last of the lingering darkness retreated from himself. It might truly get dull without this annoying spirit, but he would also be rid of it's torments. Either which way, he was free.

A dark, sadistic smirk came over Chaos. "At the very least, you kept me quite amused, Valentine. There was some worth to your existence, it seems, if only to entertain me," he said, sarcastically. The man felt it as though Chaos was becoming more distant from him every passing moment.

Vincent turned away from Chaos, "Well, on my account, I can at least wish you peace. Not that you deserve it."

The smirk disappeared from Chaos's face, as he slowly reverted to his original form, leaving behind any evidence he was once a part of his human host.

"Well, I suppose it was fun until the end," a hint of mirth in Chaos' voice.

"Ciao."

The last surviving essence of the WEAPON Chaos gently blew away, a single stroke against Vincent's crimson cloak.

Hooray! Success, my first writing in like 10 months ! I didn't know if my little fanfic was good or bad, but here it is anyways. Just a little homage to the relationship between Vincent and his bringer of all carnage, Chaos.

I still do not know what I want Chaos to look like, so he continues to looks like Vince. And the coloring, I am quite surprised at it myself It actually looks good ;D

Micro-mini-spoiler towards DoC. The ending, and a comment that Wiess the Emperor made after fusing with Omega, calling Chaos nothing more than a pawn, which made me kinda angry.

Merry Christmas! (uwaa! 12:11am!! *hint*notchristmasanymore*hint*) Fyi, sry, but I did not know what to draw for Christmas, hopefully I can quickly get one up for New Years xDDD
