This is just my opinion but when shading ( even if you shade clothing)
It’s better not to use black at all if the art piece has color.
You might want to always use a similar color to the characters fur / clothing / ect

Some of the shading on the clothing isn’t refined enough and looks flat

But the face and the hair looks pretty nice and somewhat 3D
