TUMBLR FACEBOOK Up until now, all of the plush sewing patterns I had available for free (sewdesune.deviantart.com/galle… ) and for sale (www.etsy.com/shop/CholyKnight?… ) assumed you have basic sewing knowledge. But I get so many beginning sewers trying out my patterns it only seems fair to create more tutorials on sewing basics -- particularly for plushies. So that's what this is
I hope to keep making more and incorporate them into my patterns from now on so they'll be even more beginner-friendly.There are a lot of other posts out there that list sewing vocab words, but this one has a slant towards plush-sewing in particular. It took all I had to keep from making this miles long, so I tried to stay brief and succinct with every definition so people can use this as an at-a-glance reference.
It covers a lot of the terms that are thrown around that intermediate and advanced sewers might take for granted that everyone knows. With any luck, it might help jog your memory or give you something to work off of the next time a sewing term confuses you!

Oh thanks! I had trouble with all that sewing vocabulary when I did the Totoro bag (I still have to send you pictures!).
That was my first sewing attempt (with the help of my mother) and I had to translate her the sewing tutorial.

EXPOSING RedqueenAllisonOkay, so I know a lot of people have befriended this person unaware of who she really is and are probably biased to defend her, but please at least keep an open mind and hear what I have to say.
This picture isn't of just any ordinary person, it's a picture of the celebrity Miley Cyrus. You probably remember it from back when she had a picture of "herself" as her ID picture.
The picture came from this website and unless you're ready to tell me that Miley Cyrus secretly makes sprites for Nintendo fangames, this is by no means Allison's real picture: http://www.twistmagazine.com/posts/25-celebs-you-didn-t-know-wore-glasses-37924/photos/miley-cyrus-37915
I pointed this out to her on her page, however she flagged my comments as spam all by herself somehow and changed it to a picture of a red rose. But her icon still remained a cartoon version of the Miley Cyrus wearing glasses.
She also threw me out of my sprite group because I uploaded this and changed her profile picture once again, this
