I have been watching a lot of Transformers Prime lately due to recommendations of several of my friends. I absolutely adore it, especially considering I was a fan of Beast Wars in my youth, so it was like riding a bike for me, and so I could get instantly invested! It is like... what the live action movies should have been. No really. I am saying that with full conviction, as if Devastator's ballsack was about to teabag me into oblivion.And it has my favourite iteration of Arcee. And can you blame me? This version is so hot, the human protagonist's first thought to seeing her is to straddle her. And she was in vehicle mode at the time! If there was a missed opportunity in that show, it was to make the two of them an item. That or do the same with Optimus Prime and his mom.
Also, behold! My shitty matte-painting skills. LOOK AT IT!
Transformers is owned by Hasbro. You know, that toy company that put out that one show... with the tiny minature horses who find out that companionship is witchcraft? G.I Joe Renegade, that's it.

She was one of the reasons for me, but the main reason for me was obvious: Starscream in his fabulous high-heels! You go, bra! But seriously, that show had the best Starscream in terms of design and character.

Man you've really done a great job making her look pretty sexy. 
I also agree that the Prime version of Arcee is the best we have so far in the franchise as opposed to how she was used in the past like her not being much of a character in G1,a non entity in ROTF,a science experament having to do with gender in IDW, and a plot device that lost her memories in Animated. This version feels more like an actual person who has strengths and flaws that she struggles with and one that I grew to care for and I love that about her.

Exactly, Transformers can be a bit of a sausagefest, but I am really glad that decided to just say "You know what, screw it, let's make Arcee into an actual character." And I so approve of that choice. In fact, Prime can basically be called: "If Bayformers Were Good" because let's be honest, that is exactly what it was.

What I'm also happy that Prime Arcee might be a sign of female Transformers having larger roles in the franchise now. Notice how we now have Windblade,Chromia and Nautica in IDW with Strongarm for the TFP sequel next year? I think since Prime Arcee is so loved by a lot of people Hasbro seemed to have taken notice of that thus why we're having more female character show up.

Despite not ever seeing this cartoon, I can safely agree with your assertion that it's better than the live-action movies, as I would agree with the statement "I would rather smear warm honey on my eyeballs and wander across the most temperamental bear I can find than watch the live-action Transformers movies." Still, nice artwork despite not being my thang.
Oh and G.I. Joe Renegade is the show about those tiny brightly coloured pet shop animals with the junior Capitalist chicks.

Still, to me Animated is easily the best Transformers ever made. Prime is just...lifeless by comparison.

I would have to disagree. Animated, while certainly unique and beautifully animated, not to mention CHINS, I didn't really enjoy it. It could be the art-style, but there were other factors as well. I also wouldn't call Optimus lifeless. The idea is that he is incredibly stoic, so there is a lot of subtlety in the way he acts and is animated.

Explain how, because I am not seeing it. Describing it as empty is... well... empty. WHY is it inferior? I can name reasons why Animated is poorer. The voicework is not as good, the art style, while creative, doesn't really work in that universe. The storylines have little investment with few stakes, characterization is stock and the mythos is poorly explained. It has the potential to be good, even great due to elements being available, but it just fell flat. Oh and Sari is a worse human than Sam Witwicky. Yes I went there.

Aniamted was what actually got me back into the franchise to begin with so I do have a soft spot for it. As for the flaws yeah I do have some of my own like most of the decepticons with the exception of Lockdown,Blackarachnia,Swindle and the Constructicons aren't that interesting to me because they don't actually show more of who they are outside of their main archtype. they're entertaining without question but I felt that Animated Starscream didn't show much character aide from trying to be leader of the Decepticons so compaired to most of his other versions like Armada and Prime he fells flat on that regard. As for Sari yeah she bugged me for a while but she did get better same with how I felt about Miko in Prime.
I do get how people may not be into Animated for some reason or another however.

The voice work in Animated's perfect and the art style fits that universe to a T.
As for what I meant I mean Prime's world is empty. It's a barren wasteland aside from the kids and the people they come into contact with.
But if we're going into why I think the show itself is inferior, it's due to this. The pacing is horrible. It goes on and on forever with little-to-nothing happening other than talking with the occasional fight scene popping up. Megatron in Prime is probably the most...stupid version of the Decepticon character intelligence-wise. The art style makes everything just sorta look like dead puppets being moved around to me a lot of times. It's also too...dull and darkish for my tastes.
With Animated everything felt alive to me. The Transformers, which there were countless of, were all varied in personality but melded together in a team so well that they all worked off of each other. It had a certain level of depth and emotion not really seen in other Transformer shows outside of Beast Wars. The colors all are vibrant and make the show pop giving off a sense of happiness which contrasts quite well when darker things actually do happen. For instance I felt a hell of a lot more shocked and saddened when Blurr gets smashed to death as opposed to Prime's style of just going "Oh, by the way this character's dead now...movin' on". Sari I was sure was going to be annoying as hell, but she turned out to be the greatest human "side kick" yet in the franchise for me. Very interesting from the start with her plot-point culminating in Season 3's opening. Not to mention she really gets Bumblebee (and to a lesser extent Bulkhead) to goof around humorously. Really helps also that the Autobots don't decide to hide themselves.
Then there's the whole Elite Guard and Cybertron and stuff which is a whole 'nother story that likely would've been elaborated upon even more had the show not been canceled so it wouldn't interfere with Revenge of the Fallen. Megatron was going to be executed in his hometown which would've turned out to be Bulkhead's and he'd escape getting a new form (which they made a toy of even). Sentinel would've taken over as the new Magnus after Ultra Magnus succumbed to his injuries and died. Sari's backstory would've been fully explained. Arcee and Cliffjumper would've joined the Earth Autobots. Optimus would've fought Sentinel Prime towards the end getting his PowerMaster armor he'd made to battle Megatron. And various other things.
Animated just had so much effort put into it. That's not saying that Prime didn't, but it had nowhere near the same amount from how I view it.
